Why do we need PaaS at Srce?

At Srce we develop, maintain and support a large number of systems, each consisting of a series of services and applications. The number of active users goes over 150,000 (mostly academic community). These systems run on various platforms (Java, .Net, PHP, ...). The needs and demands of our users for new features, upgrades, changes are constantly growing as the systems themselves. In order to continue to successfully meet the needs of our users, we believe that we need Platform as a Service (PaaS) as the basis for further development and maintenance of our systems.
