We at APIS IT have been evaluating technologies from the "BigData" world for a year. The center piece of our “Big Data” technology stack is Apache Spark.In one business use case, we had to build a live analytics dashboard with large input data.From technical point of view, events and performance were main considereations and idea of using reactive framework (Spring Reactor) imposed itself naturally.In this presentation we will talk about Apache Spark, reactive programming in Spring Reactor and the benefits it brings compared to standard Java concurrency, Apache Kafka, etc.

I was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Hercegowina, in 1982 where I finished primary school and gymnasium.I gratuated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb.Main fields of my interes are Java based technologies, machine learning and BigData tecnologies.
